Meeting Dates and Location
Membership Meetings are held on the third Friday of every other month beginning in January with meetings in March, May, July, September, and November. The meetings are held at the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority at 344 4th Street SW in Albuquerque from 11 AM to 2 PM. Usually there is a group lunch for $5. Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in helping to end homelessness. Topics of membership meetings generally include legislative advocacy, New Mexico's Balance of State Continuum of Care grant, educational events, and news affecting homeless people and agencies that assist the homeless. Occasionally the dates of meetings must be changed so please check the yahoo group page to find the exact date of the next meeting
Board Meetings are held the third Friday of every other month beginning with February from 9:30 AM to 11:00. The meetings are held via conference call. To join the meetings call us at 505-982-9000 the day before the meeting to get the call in information. In addition one or two in person meetings are usually held each year. Upcoming dates for board meetings by conference call are October 17, 2008, December 19, 2008, and February 20, 2009.
Workshops are held throughout the year on topics of interest to people who work for organizations assisting the homeless. Upcoming workshops are announced on our Yahoo! group.
Special events sponsored or co-sponsored by the Coalition include Homeless Memorial Day, which is usually on or around December 21 each year, and the state housing and homelessness conference, which is held on even, numbered years in August.
