Executive Director

After an incredible 20 years of service, our current Executive Director, Hank Hughes, is retiring. We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to fill his shoes and are excited to hear from applicants interested in applying for this position.

The NMCEH Executive Director is the principal leader of the organization and oversees our five teams and over 25 employees. The qualified Executive Director leads, inspires, and collaborates with staff, agency members, elected officials, and the Board of Directors to achieve the mission and strategic planning objectives of the organization. Other key duties include advocacy, fundraising, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. 

This position is based in Santa Fe, NM and requires a person who will spend most of their time in the office, who is passionate about working towards ending homelessness and about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and our New Mexico communities.

Albuquerque Coc program officer

Under the supervision of the CoC Director, the Albuquerque CoC Program Officer will perform duties to assist and manage the ABQ CoC for our organization in order to support agencies in the Albuquerque Continuum of Care (CoC) in the planning and implementation functions outlined in the CoC Interim Rule, local standards, local Governance Charters, and community goals to end homelessness across New Mexico.

We are seeking candidates that are passionate about helping organizations and community partners in the efforts to end homelessness. We are looking for applicants with experience operating or administering federal, state, or local assistance programs and those who have knowledge of homelessness and housing in New Mexico.

state-wide Coordinated Entry System Housing Navigator

Our Housing Navigators are part of an 8-person team that operates a coordinated entry system which helps people experiencing homelessness connect to appropriate housing as quickly as possible. The Navigators are based in Santa Fe with occasional travel to participating agencies in other parts of the state. This job can be done partially or mostly remotely. We have openings for Navigators in three areas of concentration: youth, Santa Fe, and rural New Mexico.
