FY24-25 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity: 2025 Funding

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the FY24-25 CoC Competition Notice of Funding Opportunity (CoC NOFO) in December of 2025, officially launching this year's CoC funding competition. Agencies interested in applying for CoC funding should review the material below.

NMCEH administers both Continuums of Care in New Mexico. The Albuquerque Continuum of Care covers the geographic area of the City of Albuquerque. The New Mexico Balance of State Continuum of Care covers the entire geography of the state except the City of Albuquerque.

FY25 is the second year of the two-year FY24-25 NOFO. As such, project applications submitted in FY24 will be automatically submitted for FY25 for funding review and decision by HUD. Neither COC is accepting new project applications under the FY24-25 COC NOFO.

Please note: NMCEH will provide technical assistance as FY24-25 COC Competition materials become available. NMCEH will:

-
Provide links to all HUD-required forms
-
Release local competition instructions for NM-500 and NM-501
-
Post timelines, scoring tools, and updated guidance
Local Competition Application process

Only renewal projects with grants expiring in 2026 are being accepted by NMCEH under the FY24-25 NOFO. Application drafts must be submitted to NMCEH by end of business on January 29, 2026.

If you have questions about the CoC Renewal Project application process, please email the COC Program Director, Axton Nichols, or Coalition Associate Director, Mark Oldknow.
